Matthew Broughton

I’m a Melbourne-based freelance illustrator, graphic artist, and designer working with clients across Australia and internationally from my studio. My work spans a variety of mediums, from book illustrations and clothing designs to packaging and graphic materials. Not one to be pigeonholed, I wear many creative hats—illustrator, graphic designer, and artist—depending on the project at hand.

For me, it’s all about visual storytelling and problem-solving, transforming complex ideas into engaging, practical designs. Every project is a collaboration, tailored to create unique, authentic, and unforgettable visuals that inspire, engage, and entertain.

Beyond commercial work, I pursue my passion for linocut printmaking, creating limited-edition prints that I sell through online galleries and by commission.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me unwinding with coastal and bush walks, swimming, making music, or playing bass guitar.
