Katie 'Katiebell' Roberts

Welcome to my artwork, welcome to my worlds. 


My favourite illutrations are maps and landscape, both fantasy and realism. I am trained artist, proficient in tonal and colour work; mediums include pencil, watercolour, gouache, ink, a range of other materials including collage and mixed-media. I especially love creating subtly shaded graphite drawings. I am able to turn my hand to many styles but my favourite for children's book illustration is magical-realism based artwork, especially maps and landscapes. I love maps, did I say that?
 

I have been making artwork all my life. I have a wide experience in the arts, including fine art, illustration and graphic design. 
 

I am a professional artist with a nearly 30 year career, I hold a BA Fine Artt in Drawing and a Masters of Fine Art, I teach drawing at uiversity and in the community. I have been quietly illustrating for posters, projects, events and community throughout my life. Over the last year I have been launching my illustration career and children's books under the name Katiebell. :)

My artwork, stories and projects are optimistic, ethical, deep and meaningful.
