Imogen Joy

I am an Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in Sydney. My Australian clients include Australia Post, La La Land Greeting Cards, Berbay Books, Mideer Toys and Hare Raising Wines. Since early childhood I was encouraged to draw by my mother, an artist and art teacher who nurtured my love of art and ability to think creatively. My work is often described as highly imaginative, with a strong sense of story-telling and the magical and whimsical. Subjects I love to explore include, birds and animals, people, and motifs from nature. Illustration and Surface Pattern Design have become the perfect vehicle to express my whimsical themes and to share my work with a wider audience. I was awarded first prize in the intermediate and advanced categories, as well as being highly commended for my original pattern designs, in the Make it in Design online global design challenge, for two years running. Please get in touch for any commissions.
