Catharine Harper

Hi I'm Catharine, thank you for looking at my portfolio. I  work with a variety of traditional and digital media, often starting with gouache or pencil and then finishing the work off digitally in procreate.  I love drawing people, expressive faces in-particular!  I have illustrated two published books, Hipster Harry Counts and Hipster Harry goes to the Zoo.

In my  former career  I worked as a community nurse. I am an introvert, empath and passionately interested in social psychology, all of which overflows into my art work.. making it often quirky and emotive.  I also have three beautifully creative children who inspire my work. And I am influenced by nature, colour and imagination.
