IA cebrated 20 years with an exhibition of work spanning from 1989 - 2009 as part of the Northern Exposure Visual Arts Festival Northcote High Street 19 – 21 June 2009. Thanks to everyone on the committee and to those who came from interstate for helping make the event a great success! Images from the exhibition can be viewed here . Thanks also to our sponsors Wacom and Madman Entertainment for providing us with some great prizes. Winners included : Rowan Dodd (Wacom Tablet) and Michel Cannetti ( Madman DVD pack). With over 50 exhibiting artists showcasing their work from the last 20 years, as well as insights to their working processes, the exhibition is a rare opportunity to see some of the best of Australia's illustrators work across a range of genres - from personal sketch books to slick advertising. Speakers on the Sunday afternoon included: George Haddon, Mitch Vane, Rowan Dodds, Joel Tarling, Peter Edgeley, Margaret Krajnc, Matt Clare. Here is a video of the opening: |
