The Diploma of Visual Arts - Illustration course at Melbourne Polytechnic has been going strong for 20 years now and has earned a credible reputation as an outstanding springboard into the profession. The teaching staff are professional artists, illustrators and designers in their own right - which further enhances the courses’ integrity amongst our students. The course covers both traditional and digital media as well as generous sprinkling of design. Further to the excellent hands-on tutorials and projects, students can enjoy around 90 percent contact time with their teacher. This means, they have access to information and technical knowledge whenever they need it. We also cover the History of Illustration and a wonderful exploration into the professional practice of illustration.
